10. oldal MAGYAR EGYHÁZ CHURCH WOMEN UNITED ANNUAL CONFERENCE It is my greatest pleasure to report to you on our Thirty-Seventh Conference of the Church Women United of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America, Eastern Division was held on Sunday, May 5, 1996 at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Carteret, NJ. Registration took place at 2:30 p.m.. There were 77 participants registered from the following churches: Carteret, NJ 11, Linden, NJ 1, New Brunswick, NJ 14, Cliffside Park, NJ 2, Perth Amboy, NJ 22, Poughkeepsie, NY 4, Roebling, NJ 8, Staten Island, NY 2, guests 2, clergy 10 which included 1 Princeton student. We were overwhelmed at the number of people attended. We did not plan for so many. Many invitations were sent out but a few were returned. God always prevails, he gave the preparers and food handlers the insight to feed the multitude, which brings to my mind Parables and Miracles in the Bible, feeding one hundred men with twenty loaves of bread. Selected from 2 Kings 4:42-44. “Give to the men that they may eat. They ate and had some left according to the word of the Lord.” Opening devotions were held beginning at 3:00 p.m.. the Invocation was given by Rev. Peter L. Toth, NJ, in English, and Brigitta Dorko of New Brunswick, NJ, in Hungarian. The ministers present at the Conference were Rev. Peter L. Toth of Carteret, NJ (host minister), Rev.
