MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 11. oldal In completing the business of the Conference an invitation was extended to a Fellowship Dinner hosted by the Women’s Guild of Roebling, NJ. The closing Prayer to the sick members was given by Rev. Dezső Ábrahám of Bordentown, NJ. We said farewell to each other with theme song of the Church Women United “God Be With You Till We Meet Again.” Pearl Hatten MINISTERIAL MEETING - LIGONIER AN INVITATION Dear Chief Elder/Presbyter, I want to call your attention that the 46th annual meeting of the American-Hungarian Reformed Presbyters’ Association will take place on the Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7, 1992 in Ligonier, PA at the Bethlen Home Conference Room. Please inform your other members of the Consistory or Presbytery of the meeting. Presbyters and their families are cordially invited to attend. As I stated in my previous letters to your church; those attending will find the meeting quite interesting. Brief reports will be given by the president, and the four district vice-presidents. Reports of our sister Church’s activities will also be given. Here is an opportunity to get new ideas for improving your Church’s programs in the future. On Monday morning a guest minister, Rev. Zoltán Hajdú, from Budapest, will speak to us for a few minutes. A few minutes will be given for a brief discussion of the “Church Union” between the Hungarian Reformed Church of America and the Calvin Synod. We, as presbyters, can not make a final decision at this meeting, but can gain information to take back to your local congregation. A committee of pastors from both denominations have been appointed to draw up plans for the merger. Please note that reservations at the Lord Ligonier Inn should be made before July 31, 1992 for the September meeting. When making reservations at the Inn, please inform the hotel that you are with the American-Hungarian Reformed Presbyters’ Association. If you are unable to get accommodations at the Lord Ligonier Inn, a list of hotels and motels in the nearby area is included. I have also included a tentative program of the meeting in this mailing. Hope your Church will send delegates to the Presbyters’ meeting. I am looking forward for an improved representation from all Churches.
