It was a great pleasure to share our bus ride with the women from Roebling and Carteret to Staten Island. Another joyful event of the spring and early summer was the visit of the brother of our Pastor Andrew Torok, who stayed with the pastor’s family for two months, and returned to his loved ones on May 11th. YOUNGSTOWN, OH Doctor of Ministry Degree: Reverend Fuleki has successfully defended his Doctoral Thesis, entitled “A Renewal in the American Hungarian Reformed Church,” on Tuesday, April 24. Graduation date was set at May 19. The Church Council decided that it will be unable to hold funeral services in the church unless the family or the funeral home can provide eight (8) pall bearers. Previously our elders participated in the pall bearing services. Today, the few who do attend are physically unable to perform this pall bearing task. All the area funeral homes will be notified of our decision, and we hope that in time of need, this will be explained to the family. We thank the members of the Fellowship Circle for a successful and delicious dinner on the 22nd of April. $549.50 was raised with 105 attending and 4 take out dinners. Vacation Bible School is going to be held if we can have 3 teachers to volunteer to help. Please consider volunteering your time and services, so we may minister to our children.
