On the same day our Pastor participated in the ordina­tion service of The Rev. András Czecze in Buffalo, deliver­ing the sermon in Hungarian. Worldwide Communion was celebrated on Oct. 5, shar­ing the worldwide Christian experience. The Eastern Area Elders’ Association had its annual meeting in our church on Oct. 5th, 1986 from 3:00 p.m., followed by a Dinner offered by our Lorantffy Women’s Guild. A Flea Market of the Giuld was held on Oct. 10, 11, in our Bethlen Hall. The Carteret Ministerial Association met for its regular monthly meeting in our hcurch on Oct. 14. We are participating again this year in the CROP Walk for the hungry in the world. Last year we had about 20 people participate from our church. We also had a successful food drive this spring, when we collected non­­perishable food for the hungry, to be distributed by the St. Joe’s Food Pantry here in Carteret. McKeesport, pa We are praising the Lord and being thankful to every­one for the very successful “International Village” held on August 19, 20 and 21, in the Park at the front of our Church. The Ladies of the congregation and many friends worked for months preparing food. More than a hundred people worked during the three days for the good result. The McKeesport Magyar Folk Dancers participated in the programs two nights. Holy Communion was celebrated as our thanksgiving for the new bread on August 3, 1986. Our church will cel­ebrate the World Wide Communion on October 5. Bethlen Home Sunday will be held on October 12, 1986. The Rev. Mr. Zoltán Kovács will conduct both of the services. The Rev. PERTH AMBOY, NJ During the summer all activities except Bible Study has taken its vacation. In early September all activities in and around the church has resumed. Our first activity was the opening of Christian Education for our children on Sept. 7. During our Rally Day special activities have taken place, such as the releasing of balloons, special movie presentation and welcome fellowship coffee hour. Since the beginning of September all organizations have resumed their meetings and activities. On Labor Day week­end a few of our elders participated in the Ligonier Con­ferences and also our Pastor was present at the Meeting of the Hungarian Ministers Association meeting in Ligonier. Our Women’s Guild sponsored a successful CPR dem­onstration by the Fords St. John’s First Aid Squad assist­ing them. Our Youth Fellowship members from which 6 have attended the Summer Youth Camp this past summer all charged up by the spiritual strength have made ambi­tious plans for the remainder of the year. Among their plans are the following: Bake Sale Oct. 5, Volleyball game with Trenton on Oct. 11, Food Drive to assist the needy by Thanksgiving. The Fellowship Circle which have assisted our Senior Citizens during the summer months in their outings is ready for a Fellowship Spaghetti Dinner on Oct. 25, at which time a special movie presentation will also be made. Participation will be by a free will offering. Our Women’s Guild is busy with their Fall Rummage Sale and preparing the most successful Christmas Bazaar ever. Vital Statistics: Wedding: on Sept. 13th Cliff Benjamin and Amy Clayton were united in marriage at our church, on Sept. 20th Brian Dinicola and Laura Egry were mar­ried, on Oct. 4th Lajos Dobosh, Jr. and Dana Scott asked God’s blessing upon their union in marriage. We hope and pray that through these activities and by our inner desires we will find a closer association with our Lord in whose name we work and serve one another to His greater Glory.
