During the last Sunday of February Our An­nual Congregational Meeting was held at which time we evaluated the past year and with the participation of the church members laid down some plans for the future. Newly elected officers are: Chief Elder Mr. William Pastor, Vice-Pre­sidents: Mr. Andrew Racz Jr, and Mr. Gabriel Silagyi, Treasurer Mr. John S. Kovács Jr., Assis­tant Treasurer Mr. Robert Zambo. Secretary Mr. Michael Eldredge. The official Oath was admi­­nistred to the newly elected officers and members of the Council who are Mrs. Elizabeth Dudich, Mrs. Elizabeth Novak and Mrs. Elizabeth Rhodes. Our congratulations to all elected mem­bers. The new Church Council participated in corporate Holy Communion. Also on this same Sunday we honored the members of the Women’s Guild on the occasion of their 36th Anniversary. Corporate Holy Communion was observed also by the Guild. On this Sunday 14, of our elders took part in the Meeting of the Eastern Classis, which was held at our sister church in New Brunswick. We were happy for the invitation, since the New Brunswick Church is not a member church in our classis. During the meeting the congregations unanimously elected our Pastor for the office of Dean for the next four years term. Other elected officers in the classis from our congregation are: Mr. Andrew C. Lovász, treasurer, and Mr. Charles Gabos member of the judicial Commis­sion. On March 13th with the Hungarian Churches in the city of Perth Amboy we commemorated the Freedom Fight of 1848. Attendance was excep­tionally good. On Sunday March 27th under the sponsorship of the Fellowship Circle an Easter Egg Hunt was held in our church center. To entertain both young and old we had a “Gospel Magician with a Message”. Our Easter church attendance and partici­pation in the Lord’s Supper was the highest in recent years. At the English service 357 members shared in the elements of the Supper, while at the Hungarian service 59 adult members of the congregation lived with the Holy Elements. On April 8th our Women's Guild Chinese Auction was held with a great financial success. Upcoming events on our calendar: A Rummage Sale on April 28 and 29. A Spring Fashion Show by the Fellowship Circle on April 22nd. On May 1 st the Women’s Conference is going to be held at our sister church in Trenton. While on the Second Sunday in May — Mother's Day. The Youth Group will meet every second Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The officers of the Youth Group are: President: Brian Beke, Vice President: Karl Niedt, Secretary: Christine Cheby, Treasurer: Kristine Vogel, Chaplain: Eric Beke and Sergeant at Arms: Jody Lattin. Many members of our congregation and friends attended to make it a success. On Sunday, March 13th, the Annual Elders Dinner was held. At this ocassion over 200 persons attended. During this dinner the Man of the Year was recognized. For his many years of service and especially for his service toward the church in the yar of 1982 Mr. Géza Hegedűs was honored as the Man of the Year. Our Easter services were blessed by God. On every ocassion we had a nice congregation, bui especially on Easter Sunday, the English congre­gation filled the church. A körzeti Ifjúsági Konferenciát április 30-án és május 1-én rendezi meg a Toledo Ohio-i egyház, melyre a mi ifjaink is készülnek és ha lesz elég je­lentkező, autóbusszal indulnak. Hat ifjúnak a konfirmációja május 22-én lesz, pünkösdkor. Szüleikkel együtt ekkor élnek először az Or szent vacsorája jegyeivel. Május 29-én vasárnap tartja meg a Családi Kör és az ifjú Nőegylet az ún. “Paprikás vasárnap” cí­men megrendezendő társas délutánt. Az érdeklő­dés erre minden évben elég nagy; a jegyet előre kell beszerezni. Statisztikai adatok: Keresztelést, esketést az angol részben közöltünk.
