Canning; Laci Danae and Pepper Ranae Austin, daughters of Carl E. Austin and Geraldine L. Rapai were baptized in our church. Marriage: Joseph Fodor and Maria Balogh on March 10th. BETHLEHEM, PA. At the March 15th celebration which was held at the Community Hall of the sister church, our church was well represented under the leadership of our chief elder Mr. Balint Balogh. The Easter holy elements were donated by Mrs. Joseph Matus and Mr. and Mrs. James Kovary. The Easter pastoral letter contains the holiday church service schedule. On March 20th Mrs. Imre Remaly, born 1899 in Csörögnek, Vas county, Hungary, was laid to rest. Mr. Warren Wohlbach, the husband of Esther Wohlbach passed away after a long illness. The Rev. George Toth, stepson, officiated the funeral service. On April 1st at the church service Mr. Frank Athis and Mr. Balint Balog Jr., medical student, were installed as reelected elders. Following the church service a well attended congregational dinner was held honoring our newly elected and other consistory members. The dinner was prepared and served by Mrs. John Fabian, Mrs. Julius Kadar, Mrs. Balint Balogh, Mrs. Steve Toth, Mrs. Joseph Matus, Mrs. Helen Edmunds, Mrs. Robert Csizma, Miss Robin Csizma, Miss Ibolya Balog and Mrs. Louis Nagy. The minister preached the Easter message on the Voice of America. The pastoral visitations of our members were started and we hope to complete it in the near future. CARTERET, N. J. At the worship service on March 25 John Nemish, chief elder of the Synod, was commissioned a “lay preacher” and was authorized to preach the Word of God and to conduct worship services at times and places assigned by the classis. At the traditional “Installation Dinner” which followed the morning services he was honored together with the elders and officers of the congregation and its organizations. The Junior Women’s Guild is preparing a program for Mothers’ Day to which members of the Lorantffy Society will be their guests. Funeral: Mrs. John Nagy, Sr., born as Paulina Révész in Veresmart, Szabolcs county, was buried from the church on March 31. She has been a member of our congregation ever since her wedding in the Carteret church in 1913; and a busy worker of the Lorantffy Society. DUQUESNE, PA. Easter Communion was celebrated on Easter Sunday. Those who could not come, attended a Maundy Thursday evening Communion. 70 members came Maundy Thursday evening, Easter Sunday 225 members received the Holy Elements. Funerals: Joseph Karakó, a lifetime member of our church was laid to rest on March 29th, in our cemetery. Ernest Nagy, also a lifetime member of our church was laid to rest in our cemetery on April 17th. May the love of God’s fatherly heart soothe the pain and sorrow of the bereaved families. The District workers of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America held their Annual Meeting in our fellowship hall on April 28th. Members of the local Branch No. 202 hosted the attending representatives of the Federation. Our Sunday School held a hoagie sale on April 28th to finance field trips planned for this year’s activities. McKeesport, pa. On March 4th, first Sunday in Lent, we administered the Holy Communion. On March 18th the Women’s Guild sponsored a Games Party, which was a great success. March 31st the Christian Fellowship organized a successful sausage sale. We had one funeral during March. On the 15th we buried Mrs. John Toth. May the consolation of God be with the bereaved family. Ugyanazon a napon a Lorántffy Otthon igazgatósága egyhangú határozattal elhatározta a Lorántffy Otthon északi részén egy holdnyi terület megvételét. Ezen a területen is van egy szép lakóház. Ezekkel az újabb vásárlásokkal egyházunk és a Lorántffy Otthon területe 12 holdnyira nőtt. Mindezek a vásárlások elősegítik további egyházi és magyarság építő terveinket.
