MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 9 MAGYAR CHURCH GOOD NEWS OF A GREAT JOY And the angel said to them, “be not afraid: behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people: for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” — Luke 2: 10-11 At Christmas the miracle of Almighty God, the hirth of our Lord Jesus Christ fills the hearts and minds of people througout the universe. The Omnipotent, Eternal God, our gracious Heavenly Father deemed it necessary, that in the fullness of time, He should send down to earth His son, that Jesus Christ may show us the way by the example of His life and service and lead men, who believe in Him into the everlasting kingdom of heaven. The Holy Bible from its first page to the last, in the Old and New Testament bears testimony of the fact, that God speaks to His people. Perhaps, some of his servants were humble, weak and not quite worthy instruments of the mercy of God, it could be, that some of the patriarchs, prophets, judges and kings did not lead the best examplary lives according the judgement of men, yet God spoke through them and happy were the ones, who heeded their voices. Now, too, God wishes to speak to His people, who live from one end of the earth to the other, from sunrise to sunset. Do not be critical of the humble instruments of Almighty God, but as you gather together in large cathedrals or small chapels, at home or far away to commemorate the birth of our Savior, open your heart before Him and hear His message. Let God speak mightily in this Christmas holiday season to everyone, regardless of color or creed: let everyone hear His message. What is this precious message of God? “BE NOT AFRAID!” How wonderful is our Heavenly Father to all His children, that He has extended His care over all of us. First of all, He would like to quiet the disturbed and fear-ridden hearts and souls. Nothing can do this better, than when we listen to God’s voice: he not afraid. When the heart is filled by terrible fear, there is no room for anything or anyone else to enter in. You must give your life wholly and completely over to our Heavenly Father and fear Him alone, have no other fears whatsoever! This is the message of our God to you, who have all kinds of fears, regardless where you are, here in America, or in countries where fear is the every day bread on the table and no one lives without it from morning until night when they close their eyes in sleep. Yes, God wants you to have a Christmas HOLIDAY with no fear in your heart. He spoke to His people at that time and He speaks to us today: “BE NOT AFRAID!” If you went through sickness and life and death struggles, you saw tragedy and experienced great catastrophies in your life, already you have learned to trust the Lord. Hear His message anew: Be not afraid! God is your strength. He shall never leave you, not forsake you! This is the Good News for all Christians at Christmas. Yes, God promised to bring us good news of a GREAT JOY! Christmas is a holiday of joy, it is a joyful occasion for God’s people everywhere. Christians rejoice, that His son, our Savior Jesus Christ was born, which filled the heart of Mary and Joseph, and the poor shepherds, as well as the educated astrologers. Christmas can bring the same joy to you, the good news of a great joy, which will be the joy of all people, that: for you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Can you imagine greater joy for a young couple, than the arrival of their first child?
