MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 11 will ever give up that land bequeathed to them by their ancestors. In presentday Hungary the dispute over Transylvania has been superficially silenced but continues deep in the hearts of Hungarians despite the Russian straitjacket they must wear. The Hungarian communist regime is too communist to care for 2 million Hungarians under Rumanian reign. Bucharest has managed to be communist and ultrachauvinistic at the same time. There are no shootings, no underground activities, no demonstrations in communist controlled Transylvania. But outside of Rumania, wherever speaking, writing and peaceful demonstration are free, Rumanian discriminatory policies are being consistently challenged. Ceausescu did not say in hist address that the real Rumanian provinces, Wallachia and Moldavia, are Rumanian lands. He singled out Transylvania for this statement. Why? Likely because many Rumanians, including himself, are having doubts about the Rumanianness of Transylvania. They show that they know that Rumania is a disputed land. The more the Rumanians practice a policy of suppression and forcible assimilation, the stronger the dispute will go on, and eventually the reunification of Transylvania with Hungary will be seen as the only solution to save the 2\4 million embattled Transylvanian- Hungarians from cultural annihilation. visnT-jiirjravBSjriurjnririiinfirsiTiriWiijraBinrviTZTiirzjuHnnrffirffiuMXXJijrjriTjrjrJTirffiumiTXZXJMirinyiUiMititiHUiai.
