The month of November in our culture is best remembered as the month of thanksgiving. Could we celebrate it more heartily than with our participation in that Supper which our Lord Himself instituted as an act of remembrance and thanksgiving for that great happening of Salvation which has given us the right as His people to become members of a new covenant, with God through His son our Lord Jesus Christ. Commemorating this occasion, we participated in the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month. Our Guest Minister for the occasion was Reverend Gabor Nitsch. At the same time however, when all of us remember the goodness of God in providing for us everything we need in life, we must to be thankful not only for material things but also for loved ones and friends who shared this life with us, but who have been called home into that Kingdom which is eternal. It was with great sorrow that we said our earthly farewells to three of our members, among them a past president of the Senior Women’s Club, Mrs. Barbara Racz. We too, share in the sorrow of the grieving families. This month was also the time when the painting of our school started, we hope that the work will be finished by Thanksgiving and our Thanksgiving Banquet will be celebrated in our newly painted center. Our Thanksgiving Banquet is being held on November 23, Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. There will be an English Thanksgiving worship service on November 27 at 9:00 a.m. Our Senior Women’s Club continued their noodle making and sponsored a successful Penny Social on November 9.
