12 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ NEWS FROM THE CONGREGATIONS AKRON, OHIO The official opening date of our Lorantffy Care Center is September 15, 1974. The beautiful new building is ready, the workers are busy installing the complicated and very modem equipment of the Center. The built-in and fully automatic sprinkler system is completed and tested. This new system puts out the fire within seconds everywhere in the new building. The 12,000 pound emergency generator was delivered last week. This generator would take over the lighting, heating and cooling of our Care Center in case of emergency within 3 seconds. Next month the kitchen equipment, including the walk-in refrigerator will be installed, the nurses stations and the rooms will be equipped with the most modern electric and mechanical devices. During the first half of September we will receive our modern furniture which was ordered in February. Until today we received 44 memorial donations for 1,000 dollars each, we can name 6 more rooms for a 1,000 dollars a piece. We are very thankful for the 1,000 dollars donation to the Allen Park Hungarian Reformed Church and for the smaller donations to the Toronto and the San Francisco Hungarian Reformed Churches. During the next 4 months we must receive 50,000 dollars more through donations to pay for the furniture. We ask our brethren, church members, organizations: please help us to achieve our goal. The price of one bed is 250 dollars, one table 100 dollars, 1 chair 50 dollars. You can send your inquiry and your donation to Lorantffy Care Center, 2631 Copley Road, Akron, Ohio 44321.
