In this month our assistant Pastor was the Rev. Gábor Nitsch, student minister from the Union Seminary in New York. We would like to thank him for his assistance. Our ladies, with their precious work never seem to stop in helping the congregation. Every Tuesday they gather for noodle making. It was a very pleasant surprise to see more and more of our members come down to this activity. Several of our members participated in the Hungarian Protestant Ball which was held at the Hotel Roosevelt in New York City. As you know the clear profit of the Ball is donated toward the studies of young Hungarian Americans. Our Youth Fellowship is on its way up again. At the last meeting they decided to meet every Friday: and every Friday of the month is devoted to a Bible study. Just recently we started a Bible Study Fellowship with our adults as well. The attendance is very low and we strongly urge others to join. We meet every second and fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 P.M. This year as in the past we will celebrate the Day of Thanksgiving with our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner which will be held on November 24, Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. The main speaker of the banquet was Rev. Dr. Andrew Harsanyi, dean of the Eastern Classis. Clergymen of our neighborhood churches were also with us and their interesting remarks were greatly appreciated by the 375 guests at the banquet. Mr. Stephen Ture showed some interesting moving pictures from the past of the church. Our pastor prepared an Anniversary Album, containing the short history of the church and many photographs of the present church life. Photographs for the Album were made and developed by Mr. Stephen Ture. Our excellent choir under the direction of Mrs. Grace Baytel contributed three selections to the worship service.
