The time is fast approaching and many of you may be wondering about the 1973 BYF conference. Well fear not, the Great Akron Machine is in high gear and digging in to turn out the best BYF conference yet! For example, our topic will be “Love Is”, which is somewhat a spin off of the comic strip. However we will certainly go into it more deeply and try to relate it to Christian and everyday activities. Also, since there is a great difference in age of those attending, we will separate our lectures into two age groups, and a further breakdown in our discussion groups. Next, our campsite is superb, being just ten miles south of Akron in the beautiful countryside. Our recreation committee has informed me of some really great activities in which we can spend our free time. Some type of fellowship is being planned for the first night, but what it is I’m not allowed to tell. Our speakers haven’t been selected yet, so you will hear more about this part later. Now I have some good news and some bad news. First the good news. After reviewing the 1972 questionnaire, Labor Day received the most votes and so it shall be this year. However we regret that the conference can be for only 4 days due to availability of the campsite and the cost factor, which might put it out of reach of many people. In spite of that we will try to fit as much meaningful activities into the four days as possible without the mass confusion of an overcrowded schedule. You will read more about the camp in future issues of this paper and newsletters, with more detailed information being sent to the member youth groups of the BYF. Frank Papp Akron, Ohio P.S.
