May proved to be one of the most active months in the life of our congregation this year. On the first Saturday of the month, May 6, Emilie Csögi and Darryl Van Arsdale exchanged wedding vows. Darryl is presently a member of the armed services stationed in Italy. May God bless the young newlyweds, as they begin their new life together. We are also busy in the anticipation of the summer months, which we are indeed proud of, is in the process of being cleaned. Our appreciation is extended to all of our members and friends who helped in this project. On the first Sunday in May our two Women’s Guilds attended the Annual Women’s Conference hosted by New York with a substantial delegation. Our thanks for New York for their sponsorship and also to Trenton for chartering the bus on which we traveled to participate in this worthwhile occasion. On second Sunday we held our Annual Mother’s Day Dinner, sponsored by the Church Council. It was like a family affair, where everybody enjoyed the fellowship. Our Youth Fellowship gave out prizes for mothers. On Pentecost, our small congregation assembled together to commemorate two very special events in the life of our Christianity. We not only remembered the Holy Day on which the Holy Spirit came to dwell in Jesus’ disciples, but likewise we assembled to hear four children’s laudable conviction concerning their Christian faith and their commitment to God and Jesus Christ. Nancy Bartha, Margie Havas, Darrel Soltész and Cheri Varga made their confirmation and partook of the Holy Communion elements with their parents for the first time on this blessed day. We hope and pray that these young people will not forget their vows of dedication and faithfulness, but will strive to rededicate themselves in service and loyalty to Christ Jesus every day of their lives. May God bless us and all our loved ones and friends, granting us the strength and wisdom to carry on the work which our God entrusted each of us with.
