Like in every Congregation in our small congregation also December is the busiest month. In this Advent and Christmas Season we also spend our times with expectation for the One — promised to all of us the coming of Jesus Christ, but had also our responsibilities and actions. On December 5, both of our Women’s Guilds had their year closing meetings, which this time was connected with a Covered Dish Supper. After the meeting we had a Christmas program, which was very affective. We sang Christmas songs in Hungarian and English and talked about what Christmas means to us, as individuals. Our Church Council members also had their meeting and were talking about the same line. We called another meeting to discuss our problems which will be taken to the Congregational Meeting. Our Sunday School prepared a beautiful Christmas program on December 17,-where almost all our children participated. The Youth Fellowship of our Church had elections in the past week, and we can give you the names of the officers, who are the following members: President, Joyce Takach, Vice-President, Colleen Trainor, Secretary, Kimberly Trainor, Treasurer, Michelle Sivado. We hope, that with our new leadership we can work together again as last year in love and understanding in the glory of the Lord, building His kingdom here on earth. And now we would like to give you the schedule of our services in Christmas and New Year. On December 23, our Sunday School children will have their caroling, which is still tradition in our church. On December 24, services will be at regular time, English 10:00 A.M. and Hungarian service at 11:00 A.M. This same night we will have a Candlelight Service conducted by our Youth Fellowship members and the Pastor. December 25, Christmas Day, English Service will start at 9:00 A.M. and Hungarian at 10:30 A.M. both with Holy Communion. December 26, Tuesday, we will have a Hungarian Service at 10:00 A.M. December 31, services will be at regular time as on Sundays, except at 7:00 P.M. we will have a Combined Service. New Year’s Day, our Hungarian service will be held at 10:00 A.M. and English Service at 11:00 A.M. We wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our members and to the readers of our Newspaper the Magyar Egyház.
