MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 11 The American Hungarian Reformed Ministerial Association elected our pas­tor to be its vice president for the next two years. McKeesport, pa. We observed Worldwide Holy Com­munion Sunday on October 3. The at­tendance was good at both Worship Services and most of our members lived with the Lord’s Supper. We held our Christian Education Sunday on September 26. The following teachers took part in the service: Mrs. John Ritzo, Miss Debbie Orris, and Mrs. Robert Jordanhazy. Daniel Arok­­haty read the Bible, Kenny Gerzsenyi said the offeratory prayer, Ronald Vo­­zar and Ernest Fejes were responsible for the collection of offering. With the cooperation of our elders we observed Laymens Sunday on Octo­ber 10. The following elders took part in the service: William Jardanhazy, John Kontz, Andrew Makatura and Robert Jordanhazy. Sándor E. Chomos delivered the sermon. Holy Communion for new wine will be held on Sunday, November 7 at both Worship Services. Preparatory Services will be conducted on Thursday, Novem­ber 4 at 6:45 p.m. in Hungarian and at 7:30 p.m. in English. The Installation of our minister will be held on November 14th. PERTH AMBOY, N. J. Our bus excursion to Ligonier, Pa., over the Labor Day weekend to the 50th anniversary celebration of our Bethlen Home, under the leadership of Miss Mary Seemann, was very success­ful. Everyone enjoyed the 350 mile trip and festivities, and the group made a generous donation to the Bethlen Home. The marriage of the Rev. Stefan Török and Miss Susan Király was held in our church on Sept. 18th; over 300 guests attended the reception in our center. May God bless the young couple. Special offering envelopes were mailed out to all our members for the painting of the church and center, also for the repairing of the parking lot and cemetery road. A rummage sale sponsored by the Women’s Guild will be held in our Cen­ter, Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24. Our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, November 21; please keep this date in mind and plan to attend. Christian Youth Fellowship meetings are held every Sunday at 7 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. C., was baptized on Sept. 19th. Marriage: John Kipila Jr. and Lor­raine M. Greene on August 26th. Deaths: Mr. Béla Szabó, 66 years old, (Keasbey, N. J.) died on August 18th. May God comfort the bereaved family. The first week of September marked the reinstallment of our regular Wor­ship Service Hours—Sunday School at 9:00, English at 10:00, and Hungarian at 11:00. We are delighted to note that the participation in our Worship Ser­vices has grown, and trust that we shall continue to grow in attendance and membership in the future. During the first weekend in Septem­ber, we took part in the annual Bethlen Youth Federation Conference hosted by the McKeesport youth group. Repre­senting our Church was Judy Takach, President of our Christian Youth Fel­lowship. Our pastor also took part in this conference, and afterwards attended the celebration in Ligonier, Pa. September will not only be a memor­able month for our congregation, but for our pastor, also, who on September 18, in our Perth Amboy sister church, exchanged vows of love and faithfulness with his bride, Susan Király. Many of our members honored the happy couple with their presence at the ceremony and reception which followed. During our pastor’s absence, the services were conducted by The Rt. Rev. Louis Nagy, Supt. of the Bethlen Home and Rev. Charles Bogár. Our Confirmation preparatory classes began last month. Four of our young people are preparing for the time when they shall bear witness of their faith and allegiance to Jesus Christ. On October 10, the Lord’s Table will be set for World Wide Communion. We ask that you prepare for this participa­tion in our Lord’s broken body and shed blood. For this occasion our Eng­lish Service will begin at 9:45, while the Hungarian Service will remain at 11:00. STATEN ISLAND, N. Y. World-Wide Communion was obser­ved October 17. The elements were of­fered by Mrs. Nicholas Nyary. After the very long summer vacation let everybody attend the worship services and take communion. Reformation Day we observe October 31. During the vacation the pulpit was supplied by the Rev. Charles Bogár and we express our thanks for his very fine services. Mrs. Charles Bogár was the guest organist. We offered a Thanksgiving prayer for our former chief elder and hymn leader Joseph Docs and his wife at their 53rd wedding anniversary. Our best known annual affair is our Annual Bazaar. Our very diligent and untiring women who made all the pre­parations are to be commended for their accomplishments. We also are very thankful for the many donors of gifts, handmade beautiful articles. The result was very encouraging. We resumed our regular schedule. In the Sunday School we have nine child­ren. Mrs. Helen Peterson is the very faithful teacher. Our Young People’s Club has six members and Miss Cari­­lyn Kosa is the most active adviser of the ardent group. TRENTON, N. J. Resumption of church activities. Sun­day School and catechism instruction began on September 12th. Children age 12 and above are expected to be in the catechism class. Sunday School is held each Sunday at 10:30. The other or­ganizations, the Lorantffy Zsuzsanna Ladies Aid, the Young Women’s Guild, the Men’s Club, the Young Couples Club and the two groups of our youth, also resumed their activities. In the Fall, at a later designated date, we will have a thanksgiving ser­vice and banquet celebrating the reno­vation and painting of our sanctuary. On that day a new Hungarian flag, a
