14 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ other printers in the area. We even received a mention at the Printer’s Convention in Chicago, 111. At the September, 1967 Conference of the Presbyters’ Association, the Press was authorized to print the Second Helvetic Confession and the Heidelberg Catechism, the basics for our faith, in book-form in English. It was the wish of the Presbyters that each member of our church receive one copy. Unfortunately, after three years, only a few hundred have been distributed. More than 4,000 copies are laying on our shelves, collecting dust instead of serving the purpose they were intended to. Anyone wishing to have a copy, please fill out the order form included and submit it with $1.50. In 1968-69, we printed the Fraternity, the Magyar Egyház and the Reformátusok Lapja monthly. In 1970, the Reformátusok Lapja transfered to a New Jersey firm, the Fraternity began publishing quarterly, the Magyar Egyház remained monthly. At present, the following publications are under work: The fourth edition of the Énekeskönyv (our Hungarian Church Hymnal); The new translation of the New Testament by Bishop László Ravasz; A series of Hungarian grammer books to teach our children the Hungarian language and the history of the Hungarian nation by Mr. Albert Wass and the Hungarian Literary Guild; the 1972 edition of the Bethlen Naptar. In 1969, we purchased a new Heidelberg offset press (35 x 25) for $29,771. The Bethlen Home gave us a loan of $10,000, from which we made a downpayment of $7,500, used the rest for installation costs and, since then, we’ve been paying $482.80 per month on the installments from the income of the Press. We are grateful to those churches who have used our services: South Norwalk, Conn; New York, N. Y. (Rev. Csordás); Trenton, N. J.; Perth Amboy, N. J. (Rev. Abraham) ; San Francisco, Calif.. We are most grateful to those few churches who we have served year-around since the beginning: Duquesne, Pa. (Rev. Illés) ; McKeesport, Pa. (Rev. Roczey); Akron, Ohio (Rev. Domotor); Dayton, Ohio (Mr. D. Melegh, chief elder) ; Chicago, HI. (Rev. Orth) ; Cleveland, Ohio (Rev. Elek); Phoenixville, Pa. (Rev. Sewell). We printed 3 Sermon Books by Rt. Rev. Louis Nagy, 1 by Rev. Tibor Domotor and the History of the Hungarian Reformed Federation by Rt. Rev. Dr. Zoltán Beky, president of the Federation. “A LÁTHATATLAN LOBOGÓ” by Albert Wass. All these were set in Hungarian. The Federal Internal Revenue Service has given us a tax exemption until the Press lives up to the purpose it was established for. All donations are deductable from your personal income tax. However, if our income from commercial work exceeds that of our non-commercial work, we will lose the exemption. All our Hungarian work is done at cost, some less than cost. We will be happy and honored to show our readers through the plant and we hope that every church member and every member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation accepts our invitation to come to Ligonier and acquaint themselves with the work of the Children’s Home, the Old Age Home, and the Press. We should all be proud of what we have in Ligonier. Together, we should build it stronger and more efficient to serve more and more of our fellow members. ☆ ☆ The Building facing toward the City.
