12 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ honest worship. He wants us to receive him as our personal Saviour. He wants us to join with his followers on the Lord’s Day and worship him in spirit and in truth. He wants us to become the sons of God as we read in John: “But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God” 1:12. Do you think that God asks us to do too much? Do you thing that he is unfair to ask us to keep and honour the Lord’s Day? Do you feel that he is unreasonable to urge us to attend church, especially on the Lord’s Day? If your answer is yes, it is doubtful that you are saved. Such excuses may prove one thing: that you are a Christian in your name hut not in your heart; that spiritually you are a very poor person; that you are not the child of God. The truth is that God does not ask us to do too much, he is not unfair to ask us to keep Sunday holy, and he is not unreasonable to require us to attend church regularly. So, give the Lord’s Day to the Lord for it belongs to him. But if you cannot give him the whole day, at least, give him one hour every Sunday. It does not mean that it is enough, but most certainly better than nothing. Barnabas Roczey ☆ ☆ Stewardship is what a man does after he says, “I believe.” —W. H. Bethlen Youth Conference The 32nd Annual Bethlen Youth Federation Conference of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America will be held from September 2-6 at the Jumonville Methodist Training Center, Jumonville, Pa. The camp is located close to Uniontown, Pa. At this time the conference will be sponsored by the young people of the McKeesport Church. There will be two speakers. The Rev. Leslie Papp who is the minister of the St. Paul’s United Presbyterian Church in Mentor, Ohio. Rev. Papp’s lectures will deal with the book: “Will the Real Phoney Please Stand Up?” It is a book based on the letter of James. Rev. Papp will emphasize: How to put our Christian faith and love into deeds and actions. The other speaker will be the Rev. Louis ílles who is the minister of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Duquesne, Pa. He will discuss the traditions of our Church. We all have to admit that we know only a very little about the traditions of our church. Therefore, we believe that it will be very interesting to listen to Rev. IUes. i We encourage our young people, advisors, pastors, elders and members to attend this year’s conference. Come for spiritual nourishment, for learning of the Word of God, for fellowship and friendship. See you at the conference.
