Our Mother’s Day dinner was spon­sored by the Men’s Club. The pro­gram was provided by our Jr. Youth Fellowship, a takeoff on “Laugh-In”. The following 12 boys and girls were confirmed on May 18th: James Danko, William Danko, Larry Cap, Richard Dobos, Richard Lemak, Jo­seph Kallery, Jr., Joel Shigo, Karen Sabo, Joni Seman, Cathy Sturm, El­len Toth, Linda Vockley. The confirmation class received its first Holy Communion on Pentecost Sunday. Bela Pohoczky was our stu­dent assistant (legátus) in the Pente­cost Season. On June 6th and 8th we will hold our first bazaar in years. All organi­zations of the church will each man­age a booth. The Women’s Club is making “csiga” at least once a week, since the beginning of the year. The local newspaper, the Daily News pub­lished a well-illustrated article on the history and the making of “csiga”. Our women furnished the informa­tion, and posed for the pictures. Vacation Bible School will open on June 9th. McKeesport, pa. Baptism: Rebecca Lynn, daughter of Clyde Smith and Susan Kliment; godparents: Louis Kliment, Jr. and Rosemary Kliment. — Rodney Carl, son of Rodney Suchant and Eva So­­tak; godparents: Stephen Pásztor, Jr. and Miss Joan McCanechy. Burial: Andrew Lukacs, April 16th. Born at Halmagy, Nagyküküllö coun­ty, March 1, 1887. — John Olyarnik, born in Duquesne, Pa., 53 years old on April 17th. — Mrs. Ede Droppa, nee Anna Vozár, 61 years old. She was the secretary of our Ladies’ Aid for many years. — Tibor Sotak, 22 years old, killed in Viet Nam. He was born on April 15th, 1947 in Bodzás­­ujlak, Zemplén county. May God console the sorrowful families. Our Vacation Bible School will open on Monday following the close of the school year. PERTH AMBOY, N. J. The Mother’s Day dinner was a successful affair on May 18th ar­ranged by the Women’s Guild. As a tribute to mothers, the children par­ticipated in the program. Thanks to all who helped. After two years of preparation, the examination of the confirmation class was held on Ascension Day; the following children participated in Holy Communion at Pentecost for the first time: Michael S. Corrado, Mi­chele A. Czebrowski, Susan E. Deák, Kálmán Wm. Hegedűs, Judith D. He­gedűs, Barry E. Knox, Kim J. Lat­­kovich, Jean Ellen Niemiera, Sharon B. Orosz, Julius G. Szántó, Erica Tá­bori, Allan M. Tampa, Mark Tibák, Susan Francis Tóth, Gary Varga, Lester Varga, Steven Viliig, and Jean Wright. The Summer Vacation Bible School is scheduled for the last week in June and the first week in July. Please, make your vacation plans accordingly. On Sunday, June 8th, a special service will be held by the partici­pation of the Sunday School in com­memoration of Children’s Day. Our church will have special bus excursions to the Billy Graham Evan­gelistic Crusade to be held in New York City from June 14th to 22nd. A bus excursion is planned to Plymouth, Mass., on Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, by the Sr. Women’s Club. Our Easter season was blessed abundantly both spiritually and ma­terially. The Good Friday and Easter worship services were well attended. Baptism: Susan Jennifer, daughter of James Fulop and his wife, the former Rosalie Kosa. Godparents are Charles Kosa, Jr. and Miss Carolyn Kosa. Alexander Szabó and his wife (nee Olga Fazekas) announced the engage­ment of their daughter, Nancy Lee to Robert Edward Pelkius of Jamaica, Queens. The couple plans to be mar­ried in June. There are repairs and replacements to be made in order to protect and maintain our buildings. The officers and elders are making plans to visit each member to help raise the neces­sary money for this inevitable work. ROEBLING, N. J. On Ascension Thursday we had worship services both in Hungarian and in English. In addition to Pente­cost Sunday services we gathered for worship on Saturday evening and on the morning of Pentecost Monday as well. Robert Todd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arnold was baptized in our church on Sunday, April 20. May God bless him and his loved ones. Nőegyletünk május 4-én kuglóf reggelit, május 11-én Anyák Napi ebédet készített tagjaink számára. Temetés: május 5-én temettük el Rajtyk Zsófát, életének 69-ik eszten­dejében. Életének közel felét Akron­­ban töltötte és hűséges tagja volt az Első Magyar Református Egyháznak.
