MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 15 Sunday, April 28th, starting at 2:00 p.m. A large delegation is expected to attend the Annual Women's Conference on May 5th in Charleston, Staten Island, N. Y. On Mother’s Day, May 12th, there will be holy communion at both services, at 9:00 A.M. and at 10:30 A.M. The Women's Guild will present each mother with a carnation. The Annual Mother’s Day Dinner is scheduled for Sunday noon, May 19th; the Women’s Guild is in charge of the arrangements. Plan to attend. A special service will be held on Ascension Day, Thursday, May 23rd, at 7:30 P.M., when the following children will take their confirmation: Candese Anderson, Sheree Bálint, Thomas Bányácsky, James Benkó, Louis Berei, Diane Dámóci, Martha Dudich, Bonnie Eldridge, Carla Tóth. May God idess them and help them to keep their vows. Parents, grandparents, godparents, relatives and friends are invited to attend. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 26th, 2:00 P.M., at the Soldier Monument in our cemetery. New tombstones will he dedicated upon requests of the relatives. ROEBLING, N. J. Lenten Holy Communion was well attended. The holy elements were donated by Mrs. Elizabeth Varga. Our church purchased a new Kex-Rotary duplicator. The Pastor wishes to express his appreciation to the members and to the Church Council for this modern office machine. On Sunday, March 17 a dinner was held in honor of the Sándors and the Józsefs of our church. Our guest was Brother Joseph Kacián from the Holy Assumption Church of Roebling. As we look back to the first quarter of this year we rejoice that with the help of God we made a wonderful progress. Our dinners and activities were well attended and supported by our faithful members and friends; our members were very generous in their giving toward the Organ Fund; there was an improvement in the cooperation and helpfulness of the members toward the church. Let us continue to be faithful servants of the Lord. STATEN ISLAND, N. Y. The Annual Conference of United Church Women, Hungarian Reformed Church in America, Eastern Division, will take place in our church on Sunday, May 5th. The first Sunday in May has been our stated date for this conference so we trust that the women from all our sister churches will reserve this date. We would appreciate if they let us know the number of participants. One of our most faithful members, Stephen Albert was taken to the hospital because of a stroke. May our Lord save him for us. He has been our vice president for many years. Our annual income in 1967 was §8,363.19, expenses $7,276.74 carrying over (including previous balance) $4,638.37 for 1968. A böjti úrvacsoraosztáson először vettünk együtt úrvacsorát az Első Magyar United Church of Christ volt tagjaival. Ifjúsági csoportjaink a két egyház fiataljaiból választották meg az új egységes ifjúsági csoport vezetőit. Ifjúságunk elnöke Chris Binkley, alelnöke Barbara Boehme, jegyzője Debbie Selnik, pénztárosa Cindy Binkley, lelki vezetője Yolanda Herczegh. Márciusi ünnepélyünk szónoka Dr. Béky Zoltán, az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület elnöke volt. Lelkészünk minden hónap első szerda estjén magyarnyelvű igehirdetést tart az Észak Ohio Hangja rádióadáson, a 93.1-es hullámhosszon. (WZAK-FM). Március 4-én temettük el Szegedy Lászlónál, március 20-án pedig Varga Lajosnét, hűséges egyháztagjainkat. ALLIANCE, OHIO MAGYAR REFORMÁTUS EGYHÁZ Beszolgáló lelkész: Dömötör Tibor Gondnok: Máté József Templom: 836 Cambridge Street Március 15-éről ünnepélyes istentisztelet keretében emlékeztek meg az alliancei magyar reformátusok. Gyülekezetünk tagjai közül többen átmentek Akronba az ottani márciusi ünnepségre és meghallgatták Dr. Béky Zoltán, az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület elnökét, aki megrázó szavakkal emlékezett vissza az 1848-as eseményekre és ismertette az abból származó mai feladatokat. Id. Várkonda György testvérünk felépült betegségéből és jelentős anyagi adománnyal bizonyította Isten iránti háláját. Március 31-én kedves vendégünk volt az akroni Magyar Református Egyház gondnoka, Varga Edivard és felesége, valamint az akroni gyülekezet hűséges tagjai, Skiapics János és neje.
