Many of our members proved to be faithful to their Lord. However, some of our members failed to worship with us during Christmas. These people are our unstable members; they are like water and sand; they have never settled down and found life in Christ. The elements to the Christmas Holy Communion were donated by Mr. and Mrs. George Bor dash. The bread was made by Mrs. Frank Csik. Our church received $200 from the Lorantfy Guild and $500 from the Women’s Guild for Christmas. We appreciate these generous gifts. The Christmas tree was donated by Mrs. Frank Csik and family. The Christmas Program for our children was held on Sunday, December 18. We express our many thanks to Mrs. Helen Bordash, who was responsible for the well arranged and spiritually uplifting program. Our children also participated in the Community Christmas Program on December 15. Our Children’s Choir was commended for their fine singing. In spite of the heavy snow our children visited our members with their caroling on Saturday, December 24. Pastor’s Report for 1966: baptism 4, marriage 2, confirmation 5, burial 4. STATEN ISLAND Our Christmas Eve services with adult and children choirs uplifted our spirits. The blizzard prevented many of our members from attending. The Sunday School presented “The Shiniest Star” scene. It was a heart-warming presentation. The Women’s Guild Party with many guests was very successful. The children went on their traditional caroling to parents and grandparents. Vital statistics for 1966: 2 baptisms, 1 confirmation, 2 burials. There were no weddings. The newly re-elected Women’s Guild officers are: Mrs. John Rodvansky president, Mrs. Stephen Nemeth vice-president, Mrs. Fred Cutler secretary, Mrs. Stephen Szász treasurer, Mrs. John Lovas financial secretary.
