MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 7 DEBRECEN 400TH ANNIVERSARY 400 ÉVES JUBILEUM The 400th anniversary of the Reformed Church in Hungary was built around two festive occasions: that of the General Synod in the Big Church of Debrecen on May 19, and that of the Theological Academy in the assembly hall of the Reformed College the following day. Worship Service, lectures, presentation of the “Jubilee Instruction,” the conferring of honorary degrees and greetings from official delegates filled the rich program of the festivities upon which we shall comment in our forthcoming issues. Besides hundreds of Hungarian participants, over 100 guests came from abroad, among them 30 Hungarian Reformed delegates living outside of Hungary. A Magyarországi Református Egyház négyszáz éves jubileuma középpontjában két ünnepi gyűlés állt: május 19-én a Zsinat ülése a debreceni Nagytemplomban, május 20-án a Teológiai Akadémia ülése a Kollégium dísztermében. Istentisztelet, előadások, a Zsinati Tanítás előterjesztése, diszdoktoravatás, üdvözlések töltötték be a gazdag programmot, amelynek részleteire még visszatérünk következő számainkban. A sokszáz hazai résztvevő mellett száznál több külföldi vendég jött el Debrecenbe, köztük kerek 30 Magyarországon kívül élő magyar református.
