MCKEESPORT 196 members took communion for New Wine and Thanksgiving, shut-ins received the holy elements in their home. Baptismals: Mr. and Mrs. Francis Reitz’s son Francis Joseph. God­parents: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tucker, from Homestead. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Mayo’s daughter Sheila Marie. God­parents: Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nelson. She was baptized by the Rev. Leslie Papp, minister of the Moundsville, W. Va. Presbyterian Church. Weddings: Robert Berecky and Marie Callahan. Witnesses: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Richards. Robert Doby and Ruthann Ward. Witnesses: John Doby and Mary Ellen Ward. They were married by the Rev. Charles Empfield and the local pastor. Funeral: Mrs. Irma Borsi, 79, on December 2nd. Bazaar of the Ladies’ Aid netted 1,300 dollars. The $1,000 raffle was won by Mike Kepich, of Pine Street, McKeesport, not a church member. The schedule of services in the Christmas season will be found in the pastoral letter. Those who cannot come to church on Christmas Day, will take communion on December 23rd at 7 P.M. Congregational meetings will be held on the 15th and 22nd <Vf January. The Youth Fellowship is making plans for caroling. PERTH AMBOY The Christmas holiday season order of services is as follows: December 24 — 7:30 P.M., Christmas Eve Bi­lingual service; December 25 — 9:00 A.M., Christmas Day English Service 11:00 A.M., Hungarian, both with Holy Communion; December 26 — Monday — 10:30 A.M., Hungarian Service with Holy Communion; De­cember 31 — 7:30 P.M., New Year’s Eve Service; January 1 — Sunday — 10:30 A.M., Hungarian; 11:30 A.M., English New Year’s Day Services. Our annual banquet was attended by 360 persons. The Women’s Guild and the Senior Women’s Club each made a donation of $1,000. Our ap­preciation is hereby expressed to all those who worked, who attended, or in anyway helped to make it a success­ful affair. The Women’s Guild’s Christmas Baazar was held on December 4. It was one of the finest events on the calendar of our church this year. Thanks to those who came and who assisted. The Children’s Christmas Festival was held on Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 P.M. in our Center. Baptisms: Robert William, son of William L. Pastor and Charlotte M. Leonard, godparents Mr. and Mrs. Joepsh Krainatz; Lisa Ann, daughter of John J. Boelhower and Shirley A. Kijula, godparents Nicholas C. Boel­hower and Barbara A. Kijula; Michael Scott, son of Stephen J. Blaho and Lorraine J. Kiwior, godparents, Joseph Simandy and Mrs. Anne Kiwior. Deaths: Miss Julianne Nagy (age 23); Mrs. Joseph Herrickes (age 76) died in Miami, Florida and was buried in our cemetery. Marriages: István Magyar and Anna Eckl on November 5. ROEBLING Order of Worship Services for the holiday season: December 24, Com­bined Worship Service a 7:00 p.m., December 25, English Worship Serv­ice at 9:00 a.m., Hungarian at 10:30, both with Holy Communion, December 26, Hungarian Worship Service at 10:00 a.m.; December 31, Combined Worship Service at 7:00 p.m., January 1 Worship Services at the regualr hours. Our children will go carolling on Saturday, December 24. They plan to visit all the homes of our members. Our church sent $200.00 to the Reformed Church of Szendrőlád in Hungary. The gift was sent to help our brethren in the renovation of their church. The Annual Thanksgiving Day Serv­ice of the Florence Township Minis­terium was held in our church with the local pastors participating. The attendance was 105. Baptism: Karen René, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Harkel, on Octo­ber 30. Godparens: Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Blaicher. Burial: Two faithful and good mem­bers of our church were called home by the Giver of Life: Andrew Toka and Károly Szarka. They were among the founders of our church. May God comfort their loved ones. STATEN ISLAND The holy elements for Thanksgiving Communion were donated by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O’Connell. A service of Thanksgiving was con­ducted in both languages on November 23. Members of our neighboring American Reformed Church were our guests. The Rev. Charles E. Blood good delivered the English message. After the worship service coffee and cake was served by the host Church ladies. The order of Christmas season serv­ices is as follows: Christmas Party for the children on December 18, 3 to 6 p.m. A special nativity scene will be presented by the children planned by Carolyn Kosa. December 24, 6:30 p.m. — Christmas Eve Combined Candlelight Service. After the service carolers will visit the homes. December 25 at 10 a.m. English service, at 11 a.m. Hungarian service, both with Communion. December 31, 6:30 p.m. — New Year’s Eve Combined Service, January 1, 10 a.m. — New Year’s Day Combined Service. Burial: John Persecky, 55, husband of Mrs. Alice Szeles Persecky. YOUNGSTOWN The Rev. Alexander Daroczy preached at the combined Orphanage Sunday Service on November 20th. After the service we held the annual Elizabeth Day dinner. As in the past, this year again Mrs. Adam Hohvart and her son James Hohvart donated everything toward the dinner. We thank them for their generosity. Our Christmas services: December 24th, 7 P.M., Candlelight Service. December 25th. 9:30, English, 11, Hungarian Service, both with Holy Communion. December 26th, 10:30, Hungarian Service. Before Christmas as in past years we will visit the homes of our church members and with hymns we will take the good tidings to them. The members of the congregation will be notified of the dates of caroling. On October 17th we buried from our church Steve Fazekas who was born 78 years ago in Bodrogolaszi, Zemplén megye. Steve Fazekas was a charter member of our church. God comfort the members of his family. YOUTH NEWS EASTERN AREA YOUTH FEDERATION On November 6 the eastern area youth groups from Trenton, Perth Amboy, Carteret, New Brunswick, and Roebling came together again for their Quarterly Conference which was held in Carteret, New Jersey. The conference theme, “The Case of the New Morality — Submission or Rebellion;” was presented by Wallace. Baldwin, a teacher. The presentation and discussion proved to be very in­teresting and was considered worth­while by all who attended. Following the business meeting, an enjoyable day was climaxed by a dance with live music provided by The Gremlins. We are now looking forward to
