DUQUESNE, PA. On the first Sunday in May we commemorated the fifth anniversary of the dedication of our new church. Instead of a special service in the afternoon the congregation offered heartfelt thanks to God during the morning services and beseeched Him to grant continuous faith and vision in the future — for building spiritual temples. The banquet was held in the evening, two hundred of our members being present. Our guest speaker in Hungarian was Dean Louis Nagy of McKeesport, and in English we heard from Pastor Richard Bartley, President of the local Ministerium. The program included a Cimbalom Solo by Stephen Szepesi, Jr., Baritone Solo by Paul Shigo, the Mixed Quartet and the Adult Choir. The pastor acted as master of ceremonies and Chief Elder Elmer W. Shigo closed the fellowship dinner. Contributions amounted to $800.00. On the same day we dedicated the choir loft in memory of Rebecca and Joseph Pacolay, Sr. The choir loft was furnished from the $2,000.00 gift from the Pacolay family. * The Youth Fellowship has elected the following new officers: Dennis Sapos, President, Michael Tusay, Vice-president, Stephen Todo, Secretary, Ronald Belenski, Treasurer. Service projects now undertaken by the Fellowship include clean-up work around the cemetery and church grounds, one way of expressing the group’s thanks to the Church Council for the purchase of a stereoturntable for the young people. PERTH AMBOY, N. J. Members of the Confirmation Class who partook of Holy Communion for the first time at Pentecost were: Sandra Banyacsky, Agnes Corrado, Barbara Creevy, Lynn Harsany, Jean Kovács, Jolán Kesseru, Joan Piekarski, Kathleen Sheehy and Steven Tabory. The Annual Mother’s Day Dinner prepared by the Women’s Guild was held on May 17th. An excellent program and fine meal and the participation of many families made this affair a very successful one. The officers and members of the Guild all worked faithfully. Our Church in Duquesne, Pa.
