16 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ JVewá 3rom Z)ke Congregation^ CARTERET Order of services during Holy Week: Palm Sunday — regular Sunday schedule; Wednesday — English service at 7:30, Thursday — Hungarian at 7:30, Good Friday—Hungarian at 11 A.M. and 7 P.M., English at 8 P.M., Saturday — Hungarian at 7:30. Easter Sunday communion services: 8:30, English and 10:30, Hungarian. Easter Monday: 11 A.M., Hungarian. Mr. Bama Rőczey, theological student at Faith Seminary will be the Pastor’s assistant during the holidays. Donations for communion elements will be appreciated by the church office. In the course of the Lenten pulpit exchange sponsored by the Carteret Council of Churches the Rev. Homer Tricules, Calvary Baptist Church, the Rev. Elijah Burr, First Baptist Church and the Rev. Malcolm Brown, First United Presbyterian Church preached in our church on Wednesday evenings. Dr. Harsanyi, in turn, brought Lenten messages to the above named congregations. The services in our church were well attended. DUQUESNE, PA. Every Sunday evening during Lent, in cooperation with two other congregations, we had special lectures, Bible studies and discussion groups. The Rev. Dr. Tibor Chikes lectured on “Christian Families Facing Problems’’ and the theme for the study and discussion groups was “The Servant Lord and His Servant People” which is the theme of the 18th General Council, World Alliance of Reformed Churches, meeting in Brazil this summer. Over hundred people attended this “Lenten School for Christian Living” headed by the three pastors involved. The first Fellowship Dinner of the year was held on February 22. we were fortunate to have as guest speaker the Rev. Dr. Dezső Trombitás, pastor of our congregation in Hollywood, who just arrived in America. Other guests included the Rev. Zoltán Király of Leechburg, who spoke in the name of the nearby congregations and ministers, and representatives of churches in Homestead and McKeesport. The program featured both of our choirs and a solo by our choir director, as well as hymns by the audience. Charles Nagy, Sr., who was our janitor for over twenty years, received a watch for his faithful service. The week before and during Holy Week the Protestant churches of our town are conducting union services in which both the congregation and the pastor are actively participating. The fifth anniversary of the dedication of our new church will be held on the first Sunday in May. TRENTON, N. J. Templom: Home Avenue és Beatty Street sarkán. Nagyheti istentiszteleteink: nagycsütörtökön, nagypénteken és nagyszombaton este 7 órakor angol nyelvű-, este 8 órakor magyar nyelvű istentiszteleteket tartunk. Husvét vasárnapján és másodnapján az Umak szent asztala megtéríttetik délelőtt 9 óra 30 perckor angol nyelvű-, és 10 óra 45 perckor magyar nyelvű ünnepi istentiszteletek keretében. — Áldozatos szivü testvéreinket kérjük ünnepi borítékaik felhasználására. A feltámadott Jézusban való uj életre törekedve április 5-én vasárnapi iskolai vasárnapot ünnepelünk, a gyülekezet apraja és nagyja teljes összességében, délelőtt 10 óra 30 perckor közös angol és magyar nyelvű istentisztelet keretében, melyet 12 órakor a szeretetvendégségre emlékeztető és az egyházat egybefoglaló közös ebéd követ.
