14 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ EASTERN MONDAY DANCE IN TRENTON The annual Easter Monday Dance, sponsored by the Young People’s Society of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Trenton, will be held on April 7, 1958 at the Grand Ball Room of the church hall located at the comer of Beatty and Grand Streets. Music for the even­ing will he provided by the Kara-Nemeth Orchestra, commencing at 9:00 p.m. and continuing through til 1:00 a.m. Tickets for the affair are obtainable from any club member, and are selling for $1.00 if bought in advance; at the door the tickets will sell for $1.25. Re­servations may be made by contacting Miss Charlotte Toth at EXport 4-3550. Members of the host club making preparations for the event include Mrs. Dorothy Ender, chairlady and Miss Charlotte Toth as her co-chairlady. Other mem­bers serving on committees include Margurite Veres and Goldie Vágott, tickets; Tony Beke, Pamela Papp and Margie Thomas, decorations; Joe Kochis, Clara Kiss, Olga Jenei, Elmer Soltész, Dawn Vargo, and Steve Pityere, refreshments and beverages; Dorothy Ender and Charlotte Toth, publicity; Don Ebert and Rudy Vargo, schedules. Members and friends of the congregations are en­couraged and invited by the committee to attend, and the dance is open to the public.-----------------o----------------­APRIL SOCIAL On April 26, the monthly social of the Eastern Classis will be held in Roebling. The social will begin at 6:00 P.M. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided by the host club. We hope to see many more of the old members present than in the past, and we also look forward to meeting a large number of new members. (We expect a good representation from each club!) As host club we hope to provide everyone with an enjoyable evening in an atmosphere of friendship and Christian fellowship. Young People’s Society Roebling, N. Facts and Figures of Year 1957 The average attendance on Sunday mornings was 180, 70 on the Hun­garian services and 110 on the Eng­lish services. The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper was administered to 1,508 communicants or to an aver­age of 215 on each of the seven occasions. This average is 61 per cent of our communicant member­ship. — The average contribution per family was $91.58 and $49.71 per individual confirmed member; the total of individual contributions amounted to $17,400.00. the total of contributions received from our or­ganizations was $4,500.00 (Friendly Circle $2,500, Women’s Club $1,700, Men’s Club $300) and the rest of the income came from real estate. — Financial Report: Income $26,- 710.74, Disbursement $23,634.94, Bal­ance $4,933.57 (including the bal­ance from the previous year). Assets estimated at $215,887.70, Debts $80,009.88. — Church Register: Baptism 10, Confirmation 7 youth and 3 adults, Marriage 3, Moved away 2, Died 5. Membership 455, Communicants 352, Electors 270.
