This dua-name in prose b y Şeyhülislâm EBUSSUUD E FENDÍ (d. 982/1574) <see N° 1> belongs to the widely read Ottoman prayer-books. It consists of a mukaddeme and seven chapters (bab) and contains here and there hadis and religious legends. Each chapter states which prayer is to be read for what purpose and on which occasion. The risale s preceding in the manuscript are Hilye-i Hakanî (lb—21a), Hilye-i çehar yar-ı güzin (21b—25b), Şerh-i havassi esma-yi hasna (29b-34a), Hilyetii 'n-Nebi (35b-40b), Hilye-i miirselin (46b52b), Şerh-i esmaii'l-hasna (54a-67b) and Risale-i viicub (72b-97b). The text is preceded by the risale s entitled Kitab der-beyan-ı vuzu ([1 j+lb-8b) and Mehbas-ı méláiké (9b-32b) and followed by İlm-i feraiz (93a-103b) and Risaletii 'n-nikâh (104b-167b). 63
