(lb) jyl ill 17| 11 jjl I in 1.5 Ends: LJkliJjL ı_Z-" J tJJİ (261a) ^T elâjlkn jm'ı.,, <5 Mesnevi by the 14 t h c. poet ŞEYHOÖLU (d. 812/1409 ?) (81b: Title), whose real name was Sadreddin Mustafa. He was from Germi yan and enjoyed the support of Mehmed Bey (d. 765/1363) and Süleyman Bey (d. 789/1387), two leading figures of the principality. He lived to see the time of Ottoman rule. He grew up under the influence of Persian poets like ATTAR (d. 628/1230) <see N° 347> and S ENAÎ (d. 526 /1 131). He followed H OCA MESUD (d. at the beginning of the 14"' c.), H OCA D EHHAN Î (d. in the 14 , h c.) and GÜLŞEHRÎ (d. in the 14"' c.). The work is also known under the titles Hurşid ü Ferah-sad and Şehristan-ı uşşak. It was originally written for Süleyman Şah from Germiyan in 799/1396-1397, but then, on his death, was presented to Sultan Bayezid I (1389-1402). This manuscript of the Hurşid-name, complete at the beginning as well as at the end, was copied in 877/1472-1473 (261a). There are different prayers and beyits on the notice page/flyleaf (zahriye ) of the manuscript and four different dates of death around the colophon on the last page.
