The series of A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Könyvtárának Közleményei (Kiadványai) — Publicationes Bibliothecae Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, which have covered diverse fields of research and have been regarded as manifold in volume and form, has been ended with Nr. 75. The present work is the first volume of a new series titled Közlemények of the Library in which monographies referring to the Library, collections of data, generál studies on the history of science and library science etc. will be published. Simultaneously, the Library launches another new series titled Orientál Studies — Keleti Tanulmányok which will contain orientál studies and papers concerning the history of the Orientál Department and its documents. Parallel to these two series the other series A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Könyvtára Kézirattárának Katalógusai — Catalogi Collectionis Manuscriptorum Bibliothecae Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, the profilé of which is the publication and presentation of the Library's manuscripts, will be continued. Besides their separation in content these three series will be issued in new cover.
