- X of the Hungarian language, consequently the letters ö and ü have been treated as independent letters in the Romanic alphabet after о and u . We suppose that this peculiarity of the alphabetic order won't disturd the foreign users of thi3 book. Diacritics have not been taken into consideration in the alphabetic order. In the Cyrillic alphabet abbreviations beginning by an Ukrainian "i" or a Serbian "j" naturally form separate groups. Since we could not list the same abbreviations in every section of our vocabulary we ask our readers to consult also the fascicles of related fields in case of necessity. We do hope that the present modest work - in spite of its shortcomings - will provide some assistance for its users
