PREFACE The third volume of the catalogue of dissertations includes items for which the scientific degrees "doctor of sciences" and "candidate of sciences" were granted the authors between January 1st 1964 and December 31st 1965. The third volume, as well, is the catalogue of the collection; it thus does not list dissertations submitted in printed form, or those missing, for one reason or another, in the collection of the Department of Manuscripts, The principles of edition and the arrangement of the material correspond with those of the previous volumes. The catalogue is made complete with an index of authors and opponents.
