Abstract In the medieval brick church of Andráshida, Zala County there were possibilities for partial wall and archaeological research between 2011 and 2013 in several stages during the restoration of the church. In the summer of 2012 we had the opportunity to do research on the walls inside up to the height of 150 cm and beyond the external walls. The observations made during the research refined or supplemented - the results of the wall research done on the facades in 1971 - 1972 by András Gergelyffy. The two main construction periods of the church - the medieval construction and the baroque sanctuary expansion - were supplemented with a period following the Turks’ devastation and preceding the Baroque construction work. The south gate excavated earlier could barely be examined because of the restoration. More can be learnt about it from Gergelyffy’s photographs and reports. According to them the walls were made of bricks. Based on our observations some kind of smaller structure might have belonged to it. The remains of the previously excavated medieval window could not be analysed, its position is confirmed by the asymmetrical shape of the present middle window.
