Béres Katalin: A tófeji díszmű-kerámia

A tófeji díszmű-kerámia 279 Abstract In 1964, in the village of Tófej in Zala county, the buildings and furnaces of a onetime brickworks were used up to create a ceramic factory. The leaders of this factory were Czugh János and Czugh Dezső, famous folk potters, who came from Magyarszombatfa. The new factory produced ceramic glazes, casings and ornamental ceramics. The here produced “tófeji” red glazed ceramics were the 1960s and 70s’ homes’ unique and decorative objects. Nowadays they appear in several exhibitions in museums and on the shelves of storehouses, too. In our catalogue, we introduce the “tófeji” ceramic collection of the Göcseji Museum.
