Muzeológiai tanulmányok - Bekő Tamás: Zalatárnokiak a Donnál, 1942–1943

190 Bekéi Tamás in both researched villages by greatful posterity. A Turul monument of the Second World War’s victim was consecrated in Zalatámok in 1991, while in Szentkozmadombja a marble panel was placed on the wall of the cemetery chapel, on which the names of the fallen soldiers were engraved in golden letters. Thanks to research by Tamás Bekő and the artistic talents of Agnes Brassnyó, a rare and unique memorial plaque was consecrated in the church lobby of Zalatámok in 2000. The portrait gallery of the Second World War’s victims includes 41 - among them 18 heroes of Donsoldiers’ photograph. A few years later a common First and Second World War memorial park was established in the cemetery of Szentkomadombja. All the dead heroes of the small village have been given a memorial column with an artifical stone name-plate, which was decorated with enamelled national colours. These columns proclaim the eternal immortality in soldierly order. This would be an example to be followed for each settlement. Translated by Lívia Simmer
