Zalai Műtárgyvédelem 1. Műtárgyvédelem a Göcseji Múzeumban (Zalaegerszeg, 2003)
A megformált területre az előzőekben említett kitt réteg került, mely faragás, csiszolás után kiváló alapot biztosított a festéshez. A retusálás temperával, vonalkás technikával készült. Miután elkészültem a hintaló festésével, a nyereg illetve a kantárok javítása következett. A vászon új hasonló piros színű könyvkötő vászon alapot kapott, melyet páccal sötétítettem a megfelelő árnyalatra. A nyerget az eredeti módon szegecsekkel erősítettem a hintaló hátára. Szendrői Eva Restoration of rocking-horse The material of rocking-horse - which made in the forties - is papier-maché. The work of art has constructed on wooden framework, then it was covered with coat of chalk, finally was painted on the outside with glue-water. The children's game was painted in patchy grey colour, then becamed a set of harness saddle from red linen and tridle. The material of ears of the prick-eared horse was leather, its tail made from hardly worked timber, the mane of horse were imitated with painting. The eyes, mouth, nostril, hoof of horse were decorated with painting too. The rocking-horse was in bad repair, because of damage of coat of chalk, and of missing of pieces of horse's surface. First of all the painted parts were impregnated with five per cent alcoholic solution of Regnal, but the occurence of shell-shaped scaling remained henceforward. For ceasing of scaling the surface of horse was painted with thick solution of glue CMC-Na. After this the moving layers were fixed with injecting Flanatol glue into the layers. The small defects of coat were complemented with putty produced by Tikkurilla. After the drying of putty the replacements were planed, then polished. The deep shortfalls of surface were complemented with paper pulp. Hereupon the restored area was complemented with putty too, then the complements were painted with distemper. For repairs of covers and bases of saddle and bridle the restorer thought it necessary to make a new base from red bookbinding cloth, wich was darkened with mordant of adequate colour. The saddle was nailed to back of rocking-horse with riveting.
