Irena Šavel (Murska Sobota): Cultural Influences During Prehistory in the Country on the River Mura
Kulturni vplivi v prazgodovini v pokrajini ob Muri incisions of zig-zag lines, suspended triangulars, which can also be found in combination with white incrustation, still some of them are ornamented with a stamping technique or a pseudocord technique (t. 18-19). This horizon is also represented by a metal processing activity characterised by relics of baked clay layers with scoria particles and precious findings of twopart moulds and wedges (t. 20). This horizon originates from the time period of the PodravjeRuse group with evident eastern influences. The third horizon, however, already show ancient Hallstatt features, most of all as regards the wide wessels with upward neck, pots with conical neck and wart-like ornamentation, and trestle benches (t. 21). The findings from the Radgona barrow with a buried warior also date from this time period (late 8th Century B.C. and early 7th Century B.C.) and they hint at the custom which used to be quite common in the region of Pannónia, in the eastern alpine region and in central Italy. 21
