The phases of the Christkindl-play: asking for admission singing the starter songs or greetings introduction with songs, followed by bells placing the accessories onto the festive board praising Jesus blessing of one of the angels above the cradle by making circles with the apple with the rosemary blessing of Mary, sometimes the blessing of the Christkindl happens, who touches the right and the left shoulder of those in the room switching, going round the room (cancelled at many places) singing christmas carols together in Hungarian and in the German dialect, during which, at many places the Christkindl brings-in the christmas tree, decorated by the parents, and gives the presents to the children by appointment leave-taking by wishing merry christmas dance of the shepherds, Potzs placing the charity and the money into the haversack or box participating at the midnight mass The study introduces Christkindl-play of Kislőd in detail, the written and tunable parts, the phases of the tradition, the participants, their costumes and their accessories used during the mystery-play. The words can be read in the local German dialect, in literary German with the Hungarian translation as well.I’m going to follow this concept in my next publication about the Christkindl-plays of the villages of Bakony and the Balaton Highlands. 535
