Vineyards and their hill communities have established small vine-growing micro communities on the basis of their contact systems as a result of the rapid development of viniculture in the XVIII. century in the Hegyhát micro-region. The spread of written vineyard statutes provided an individual aspect in the relations and operation of peasant vineyards, interspersed with orchards, meadows, fields, serving not only the needs of the sguire, but also primarily self-supply needs. The structural and content analysis of twenty-two known vineyard statues regulating the vineyards in the south-eastern part of Vas county provides an insight into the fine and hard-touncover sociocultural processes. 269
