SAVARIA AVAS MEGYEI MÚZEUMOK ÉRTESÍTŐJE, 30 Szombathely, 2006 AVAS MEGYEI MÚZEUMOK IGAZGATÓSÁGA KÖZPONTI TEXTILRAKTÁRÁNAK KIALAKÍTÁSA Kiss Ernő Csaba Savaria Múzeum, Restaurátor Osztály H-9700 Szombathely, Kisfaludy S. u. 9., Hungary e-mail: restaurator@savariamuzeum.hu ESTABLISHING A CENTRAL TEXTILE STORE FOR VAS COUNTY MUSEUMS DIRECTORATE Vas County Museums Directorate, in line with its plan for short-term preventive protection of art objects, has been setting a new central store for textiles, with financial support from the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage. Care had to be taken in designing it to meet the standards for art-object storage. It has now been possible to meet, for a long time to come, the storage requirements for one of the significant museum collections and provide facilities for performing associated tasks to the requisite standard. The store was needed because existing facilities failed to meet the standards for art-object protection. The premises chosen have a floor area of almost 100 sq. m. The building was renovated, the windows and doors replaced, a new security and fire-protection system installed, and central heating provided. The requisite humidity is provided by new air-conditioning equipment. The cabinets for storing the articles were designed with drawers below, with shelving and hanging space above. This has provided the right storage facilities for this major collection for a long time to come, thanks to the support received from the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage. BEVEZETÉS A Vas Megyei Múzeumok Igazgatósága 2003-ban elkészített egy átfogó, rövid távú, 2008-ig szóló részletesen kidolgozott, preventív műtárgyvédelmi tervet, a múzeumi hálózat intézményei részére. Az elkészített tervezet tartalmazza az akkori állapotokat, raktárak és egyes kiállítások mérési adatait, intézményenként a legsürgetőbb tennivalókat fontossági sorrendben, a megvalósítás idejének ütemezését és módjának javaslatait, a várható költségeket és határidőket. Ebben a tervben az egyik legfontosabb feladatként, a Történeti Osztály textilgyűjteményének megfelelő helyen történő elhelyezését jelöltük meg.
