1 The species of Scarabaeoidea (Coleoptera) from Órség -— Locality data of 63 species of the superfamily Scarabaeoidea collected in the territory of őrség (Western Transdanubia, Hungary) aie listed. INTRODUCTION The Scarabaeoid beetles are represented by 12 families and 186 species in Hungary; 9 families and 63 species have been known to occur in the territory of Őrség (Table 1.). Concerning the species characteristic for Őrség three examples may be given: Trichius fasciatus, Mimela aurata and Amphimallon burmeisteri. In Hungary these species have exclusively been found in Western Transdanubia, as well as in the Kőszeg and Sopron Mountains, in the forested areas with cool and rainy climate.
