Byrrhus pustulatus (Forster, 1771) — Őriszentpéter: Bárkás-tó, 13.04.1982, PA (1, HNHM); 31.05.1983, ÁL (1, HNHM); Szalafő, 30.06.1980, PA (1, HNHM); Szalafő: Szala-rét, 14.06.1994, VK (1, SM). — It is collected along with the previous species but much rarer. ELMIDAE Macronychus quadrituberculatus P. W. J. Müller, 1806 — Csákánydoroszló: Vörös-patak völgye, 27.06.1995, AA-JP-KT (1, MM). — This species is in the verge of extinction all over Middle Europe (JÄCH, 1992) and was considered vanished ir Hungary (KASZAB, 1990). However, a few existing populations were recorded recently (KOVÁCS and HEGYESSY, 1993; SÁR, 1992). A map showing the Hungarian localities is given by KOVÁCS and HEGYESSY (1993). In 1995, two additional localities were discovered in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, Eastern Hungary: Nagyhódos, Túr river, from submerged stones at the bridge, 03.08.1995, P. JUHÁSZ, T. KOVÁCS, G. SZILÁGYI (many specimens, HNHM and MM); Gergely iugornya, Tisza river, 28.09.1995, I. TURCSÁNYI (2, MM). HETEROCERIDAE Heterocerus fossor Kiesenwetter, 1843 — Rábagyarmat: Rába-part, 29.06.1980, 22.08.1980, RI (11, pcIR); Rátót: Rába-part [11], 10.07.1982, ÁL(1, HNHM). — It is distributed along the rivers of Hungary but uncommon. Heterocerus hispidulus Kiesenwetter, 1843 — Csörötnek: Rába-part [11], 28.09.1985, ÁL-HS (6, HNHM); Rátót: Rába-part [11], 10.07.1982, 09.07.1983, ÁL (10, HNHM). — It is one of the rarer species of the family in Hungary. Heterocerus pruinosus Kiesenwetter, 1851 — Nagyrákos: Zala-part, 24.06.1993, SzD (1, SM). — In Hungary, it is one of the rarest species of Heterocerus. Heterocerus marginatus (Fabricius, 1787) — Csörötnek: Rába-part [11], 28.09.1985, ÁL-HS (1, HNHM); Rábagyarmat, 22.08.1980, PA (1, SM); Rábagyarmat: Rába-part, 22.08.1980, RI-RA (5, pcIR); Rátót: Rába-part [11], 27.07.1981, 10.07.1982, ÁL (3, SM), (2, HNHM). — It is widely distributed and rather frequent along waters of Hungary. Heterocerus fuscuius Kiesenwetter, 1843 — Apátistvánfal va, 07-11.06.1993, 19-20.07.1993, 24-25.07.1993, 29-30.07.1993, TCs-VK (1, SM); Apátistvánfalva [5], 22.08.1993, TCs (2 SM); Magyarszombatfa, 15.06.1980, PA (3 SM); Rátót: Rábapart [11], 10.10.1983, AL (1, HNHM). — It is widely distributed and common in the watersides of Hungary.
