Characteristic species of mountains, frequent from 1000 to 2000 m, but may occur up to 2800 m, feeding on Cirsium and Carduus species. Longitarsus ballotae (MARSHAM, 1802) - Plovdiv, 1987. 05. 07. (18 exs.); Beszapari, 1987. 05. 28. (2 exs.) - Very common on Ballota and Marrubium species. Longitarsus brisouti HEIKERTINGER, 1912 - Micsurin, 1987. 07. 04. (1 ex.) - It occurs on the southern part of Bulgaria on Senecio. Longitarsus linnaei (DUFTSCHMIDT, 1825) - Plovdiv, Marica-bank, 1987. 05. 16.
