FIRST OUTLINE OF THE BRACONID FAUNA OF THE FOOT OF ALPS IN HUNGARY (HYMENOPTERA, BRACONIDAE), I. JENŐ PAPP Delimitation and comparison of the foot of Alps („Alpokalja") of western Hungary from the viewpoint of physico-geography and zoogeography. A historical review of the entomological research of the region. The zoological exploration of the Kőszeg Mts. in the the years 1936-1939 as a part of the foot of Alps had resulted the first survey of Hymenoptera fauna. From among the 848 Hymenoptera species the Braconids were represented by 59 species. In my present and further 5 papers (I-VI.) I give the faunistical results of the Braconidae concerning the foot of Alps. In this part (I.) a total of 101 species of Braconidae are listed covering the following subfamilies (the numbers in bracket indicate the respective speciesnumber) : Helconinae (4), Homolobinae (4), Blacinae (13), Opiinae (34), Microgastrinae - 1. (24), Doryctinae (8) and Rogadinae (14). Locality data are detailed fore every species, the collecting time is indicated with Roman numbers of the months, taxonomical as well as faunistical and zoogeographical comments are added if necessary. The following species are significant or interesting occurring in the foot of Alps: Blacinae: Blacus nitidus Haeselbarth; - Opiinae: Opius aureliae Fischer, Opius bicolor Szépligeti, Opius geniculatus Thomson, Opius latipes Fischer, Opius moravicus Fischer, Opius osogovoensis Fischer, Opius staryi Fischer, Biosteres micans (Stelfox), Biosteres ultor (Förster) ; - Microgastrinae : Microgaster decens (Tobias), Microgaster docilis (Nixon); - Doryctinae: Pareucorystes varinervis Tobias, Rhoptrocentrus piceus Marshall; - Rogadinae: Aleiodes carbonarius Giraud, Aleiodes eurinus (Telenga), Aleiodes miniatus (Herrich-Schäffer), Aleiodes ungularis (Thomson), Heterogamus excavatus Telenga and Rogas testaceus (Fabricius).
