Praenorica Folia historico-naturalia, V (2002) Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: In Hungary it occurs only in the Bükk Mts. Locally, especially in beech-woods of walleyes facing north, may be very common there (TOMOV et al. 1996). General distribution: Mountains of Central Europe (Northern Carpathians, Sudeten, Riesengebirge). Oreina alpestris balcanica (Weise, 1883) BULGARIA — Sofia district: Vitosa [=Mt. Vitosa], 3I.V. 1977, PA; Rila Mts., Poiana Pionirska [=place „Pionerskapolyana"], 15.V.1983, NB. Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Does not occur. General distribution: Endemic subspecies of Stara Planina Range (Bul­garia) and East Serbia. Oreina alpestris banatica (Weise, 1884) ROMANIA — ?Poiana Stini (1250 m), 25.VI.1972, PL; Hargita [-Hargita county]: Gyilkos-tó [=Lacu Rosu], 13-14.VII.1985, PA [2]; Prahova county: Sin­naia Cota [=Sinaia] (1400 m), 15.VII.1967, PA [2]. Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Does not occur. General distribution: From mountains of Transsylvania (Romania) to Bi­eszczady Mts. (Poland). Remarks: The shape of the aedeagus is figured (Fig. 12). Oreina cacalie senecionis (Schummel, 1843) CZECHIA — Krkonose, 13.VIII.1956 [28], 14.VIII. 1956, PL [6]. SLOVAKIA — Banská Bystrica okres: Alacsony-Tátra [=Nízke Tatry], Donovaly, 18-23.VIII.1985, PA [2]. Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Very common and frequent in the higher ranges of the Carpathians. Its food plants are Senecio, Eupatorium, Petasites and Tussilago species. Does not occur in the recent territory of Hungary. General distribution: From Transsylvania across the Carpathians to Mittel Gebirge (Germany).
