Based on cladistic analysis a new phylogeny of the subfamilies assigned traditionally to Chrysomelidae and Bruchidae was proposed (REID 1995). This new arrangement of Chrysomelidae (including Bruchidae) greatly differs from the traditional system. In the present work the author follows the traditional classification of the family and subfamilies widely used in European faunistic literature (KIPPENBERG and DÖBERL 1994). The synopsis of changes is summarized in Table 1. Table 1.
