NOTICEABLE SPECIES FROM THE TERRITORY FROM A FAUNISTIC POINT OF VIEW Euluperus xanthopus (Duftschmid, 1825) - This species mostly known from Transdanubia in Hungary is native to dry grassland slopes, but rare nationally. Longitarsus brisouti Heikertinger, 1912 - A very rare species in Hungary, known from only a few locations (Sukoró, Alsódabas, Bükk Hills). Apteropeda orbiculata (Marsham, 1802) - The species is common along the lines of the Carpathians but known only from a few locations in Hungary (the Bakony, Buda Hills and Mecsek). There are several known specimens from the Mecsek, where further collections have occurred, mainly with sifting (VlG 2007). Cassida atrata Fabricius, 1787 - This species has been recorded in Hungary from the hills and plains. It is one of the rarest Cassida species in the country.
