Bodnár Zsuzsanna kitchen and larder interior with spices and food used in folk medicine. Curing techniques including scarification, trepanation, leeching and the activities of special curers are represented on photographs. We kept in mind the folk medicine connected with neonates and infants, the contradictive role of midwives in the medicine. The review of folk medicine of our county would be imperfect without pointing out the significance of the Máriapócs saints’ day and wax figurines left there on the occasion of curing, the socalled offers, saints’ pictures, the role of the blessed objects in the traditional medicine. Curing knowledge of people is multivarious and diversified. Our exhibition was able to show only a small part of this interesting material that to-date at least partly became a chapter of cultural history.
