With the territory of towns Kassa, Rozsnyó, Ungvár, Munkács, Beregszász, Rimaszombat, Érsekújvár, Komárom, Léva and Losonc a population of more than 700 thousand Hungarians got back to Hungary. However, in the months preceding the agreement there were several theoretical variants for the recapture of the territories. The idea of organisation and deployment of the so-called Rongyos (Scrubby or Ragged) Guards revived. The Ragged Guards, kind of guerrilla fighters came from half-military rifle organisations organised in the 1930s. In the present article we get acquainted with some forgotten events from a private letter of a youngster from Nagykőrös who was trained in Vásárosnamény.
