DIJLAINÉ MADARÁSZ Annamária H aj d úböszörmény H-4220 Désány István utca 1-9. e-mail: dulamy@gmail.com Musical heritage from Szászfenes / I loresti Presentation of the musical heritage of Szászfenes based on the collections in 1983 and 1986 Flore§ti (Szászfenes) is a small settlement in Jara Cälatei (Kalotaszeg), located near Cluj (Kolozsvár). Although music collecting expeditions took place all over Kalotaszeg, collectors did not turn up in Szászfenes too often. Zoltán Kallós, Levente Székely, András Vavrinecz, Csilla Könczei, Hajnal Fülöp, László Csonka, Miklós Teszáry and Gyula Pálfy participated in the gathering of the musical material of Szászfenes. The collection took place in 1983 and 1986; I studied these materials in the folk music section of the Institute of Musicology (Zenetudományi Intézet). The elaboration of these materials may help to include new melodies into folk music education and to reach a more sophisticated knowledge of the melody set of this region. On the records two leaders of the band play: József Muza and Pál Hóka. There are 115 melodies in the record, 55 of them were played by József Muza and 60 by Pál Hóka.
