Néprajz - Bodnár Zsuzsanna: „Hej halászok, halászok..." Ősi mesterségünk a halászat című időszaki kiállítás margójára
Bodnár Zsuzsanna of alimentation have been also on show, among them cauldron necessary for preparing fish-soup, grate and skewers used for roasting fish. Here visitors could see a large bowl depicting a pair of fish and a fork with a fish shaped handle. They could get familiar with fish species at the descriptions and images of colour tables. Stamps depicting different species of fish are of special interest. In the left side room we represented river and small water fishing. Our idea was to form a natural environment with water, waterside, vegetation, stuffed birds and, of course, with the fisherman and his tools. Visitors could get familiar with the implements of the different techniques of fishing, like trapping, using cast nets, gillnetting, hand nets etc. We can meet fish-weirs, fish-pots, landing nets, different kinds of dragnets, a boat, a scoop, a special implement attached to the net for producing sounds, different fish containers, a small boat. Photographs on the wall show the implementation of different fishing devices, the ways of catching fish, thus commemorating an old, disappearing way of life. One of the main tasks of the museums is to give a persistent experience for children, so in the kitchen in front of the entrance we arranged a playroom under the title of "Kids in Fish-land." Here we exhibited children drawings dealing with the fish and fishing. In this space they can get acquainted with this ancient trade while playing.
