Néprajz - Bóna Bernadett: Ablakzárak a Sóstói Múzeumfalban

Ablakzárak a Sóstói Múzeumfaluban Window fasteners in the Sóstó Museum Village There are 17 houses in the permanent exhibition of the Sóstó Museum Village with windows that can be opened and so they have 252 fasteners. The study is based on these 252 window fasteners. The fasteners have basic components without which they could not function. Accordingly every fastener has an element that fixes, another one that closes and a third one that can be grasped. The different combinations of the basic and the complementary components determine various types, which help the differentiation of the fasteners. The data gained during the assessment and the listing of the fasteners of the Sóstó Museum Village were grouped through three screens based on the physical properties of the fasteners. The first level, the basis of the grouping, contains the classes of the fasteners. On the second level, types were determined within the classes by the functional elements of the fasteners. On the third level, sub-types were set up, in which the identical fastener parts differ in the shape and the ornaments. Beside the description of the various fasteners, the system contains the number of the specimens in the Sóstó Museum Village and their type variants. At the various types, the system was completed with tables so that the typology of fasteners could easily be comprehended with the help of drawings. The drawings in the tables illustrate the number of the components of the fasteners, what these components are and how many types can be differentiated by their combinations and also how the various shapes determine the sub-types within the types. Besides, I examine the connection between the fastener types and the window types and determine the place of the object in the social hierarchy. These systemised data provide a base for further investigations and assessments, and the new results and conclusions can be inserted in the above sketched system.
